tips on how to make the games and play

  1. Download your favorite game rules.
  2. Print the relevant cards or boards on A4 paper.
  3. Cut out the relevant cards.
  4. NOTE: {Some board games need pawns or six sided dice to be played.}
  5. You can use any small objects as pawns (coins, buttons, etc.) and a standard six sided dice.
  6. You can make custom cards at home in two easy ways. For a sturdier result, print the fronts and backs on 200 gsm A4 cardstock, cut them to standard card size 63.5 × 88 mm, and place them in standard card sleeves. A common sleeve size for this format is also 63.5 × 88 mm. For a cheaper method, print on normal A4 paper, cut the design, and insert it into a sleeve in front of a real Magic or other standard-size card so the original card acts as the rigid backing. This works well for prototypes and casual play. Before printing on heavier paper, check that your printer supports cardstock or thick media, and enable any “thick paper” setting if available to reduce smearing or feed problems. Materials and templates can be found from sleeve makers and print guides such as Sleeve Kings, Ultra PRO, and BoardGamesMaker.
  7. Have fun.
